Hyperhidrosis is a medical issue, not an aesthetic one. Those affected plan their day around sweating: dark shirts, no handshakes, a change of clothes in their backpack. When normal antiperspirants are no longer enough, botulinum toxin can help specifically.
The active substance is injected superficially into the affected area and inhibits the nerve signals to the sweat glands there. This significantly reduces the amount of sweat produced, usually for several months. Treatment covers the Armpits, the Hands and the Feet. The treatment is carried out by a doctor in Hamburg. All treatments for Men can be found on the parent page.

The sweat glands are controlled by nerve fibers that release the messenger substance acetylcholine. Botulinum toxin blocks this release in the treated area, so the glands produce significantly less sweat. The body therefore does not sweat more in other areas, the effect is limited to the area and it disappears on its own after a few months.
First we check whether hyperhidrosis is present and which area is affected. The botulinum toxin is then injected into the skin region with a fine needle in many small doses evenly. This takes only a few minutes per area. If desired, numbing can be applied to the hands and feet.
The first changes are noticeable after three to seven days, with full effect appearing after about two weeks. The results on the armpits last for about six to twelve months, slightly shorter on the hands and feet. In the case of medically diagnosed hyperhidrosis, we first determine whether partial cost coverage is possible through the health insurance.
