Acne scars form when deep inflammations alter the connective tissue and small pits or bumps remain. We treat them with two lasers. The PicoLaser delivers targeted pulses into the skin and triggers a remodeling process in which new collagen is produced and the surface becomes smoother. The fractional CO2 laser ablates the skin in tiny points in a controlled manner and stimulates collagen formation underneath; it acts more intensively and requires more downtime. Which approach suits your scars will be discussed in the medical consultation. Because scar tissue needs time to remodel, we plan several sessions. We treat fresh, inflamed acne differently first.
